Jose Serrano was born in Córdoba, where he began his studies of dance with Antonio Mondéjar. Later he went to Seville to continue with his instruction with Manolo Marín and it is there where he begins to work with the Mario Maya Company in "El Amor Brujo". "La Gallarda" by Rafael Alberti and directed by Miguel Narros. This show was released in the Universal Exposition of Seville in 1992. "La Casa de Bernarda Alba" as Bernarda and "Guernica" directed for Lluís Pascual, with the Company of Antonio Canales. "A fuego Lento", a choreography to celebrate the International Dance Day with Luis Ortega. "Julio Romero de Torres" with the Company of Paco Peña. He choreographed "Bodas de Sangre" with Luis Ortega for the company of Yoko Komatsubara. "José Serrano en concierto" in the Festival de los Patios de Córdoba in 2007. Invited artist of the Company of Sara Baras (choreographed his numbers): "Juana la Loca" directed directed Luis Olmos; "Mariana Pineda" directed by Luis Pascual; "Sueños", "Sabores", "Carmen" and "Esencia" directed by Sara Baras. He was in the movie "Iberia" by Carlos Saura with Sara Baras. He was in two videoclips by Luz Casal with Sara Baras. |
